Prerequisites

  • A Webflow site with at least one CMS Collection (typically a "Blog Posts" collection)
  • A Webflow account with Workspace Owner or Admin role
  • A LLMSight account on the Growth or Scale plan

Step 1: Find your Webflow Site ID

  1. Log in to webflow.com and open your site's dashboard.
  2. Go to Site Settings (gear icon).
  3. Click the "General" tab.
  4. Scroll down to find the Site ID. It is a string like 64a7b3c.... Copy it.
Alternative: You can also find the Site ID in your browser's URL bar when viewing Site Settings. The URL format is webflow.com/dashboard/sites/[SITE_ID]/settings.

Step 2: Generate an API token

  1. Still in Site Settings, click the "Integrations" tab (or "Apps & Integrations").
  2. Scroll to the "API Access" section.
  3. Click "Generate API token".
  4. Give it a name like LLMSight.
  5. Ensure the token has CMS read and write permissions.
  6. Copy the token immediately. Webflow shows it only once.
Workspace-level tokens: If you are using a Workspace-level API token (from Workspace Settings → Integrations), make sure it has access to the specific site you want to publish to.

Step 3: Connect Webflow in LLMSight

  1. In LLMSight, go to Connectors from the sidebar.
  2. In the CMS Connectors section, click Connect next to Webflow.
  3. Fill in:
    • Site ID: The Site ID you copied in Step 1
    • API Token: The token you generated in Step 2
  4. Click "Connect". LLMSight will verify access to your site.

How publishing works

When you publish content from LLMSight, it creates a new CMS item in your Webflow blog collection. LLMSight automatically detects your blog collection by looking for collections named "Blog Posts", "Blog", "Posts", or "Articles".

After publishing, you will need to publish your Webflow site for the new content to appear on your live site. This is how Webflow works. CMS items created via API are staged but not live until you hit publish in the Webflow Designer or dashboard.

Troubleshooting

"Connection test failed"

Verify the Site ID is correct. A common mistake is copying the Workspace ID instead of the Site ID. The Site ID is found in Site Settings, not Workspace Settings.

"No blog collection found"

LLMSight looks for a CMS Collection named "Blog Posts", "Blog", "Posts", or "Articles" (case-insensitive). If your blog collection has a different name, rename it or contact support. LLMSight will also fall back to the first collection on your site.

Content not appearing on live site

Webflow requires a site publish after CMS changes made via API. Go to your Webflow Dashboard and click "Publish" to push the new content live.

"401 Unauthorized"

The API token has expired or was revoked. Generate a new token from Webflow Site Settings → Integrations → API Access.
